Counseling and occupational therapy, online

No waitlist. We can start this month.

Mental health counseling

Therapy for adults

You are the person everyone else relies on, and you are running on empty. You have been managing it for a long time, and managing it is no longer working.

Individual therapy that's practical as well as reflective. We look at what's happening, why it keeps happening, and what can realistically change.

  • Adult ADHD and executive functioning
  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
  • Burnout and exhaustion that rest doesn't fix
  • Depression and low mood
  • Domestic violence and abuse recovery
  • Grief and loss
  • Major life changes and adjustment
  • Relationship problems and challenges
  • Parenting challenges and changing family dynamics

Occupational therapy

OT for children and families

You have been told to wait. Meanwhile your child eats five foods and nothing else, homework ends in tears, and getting dressed is a fight every morning.

We work together, online, in the place where the problem actually happens: your kitchen, your bathroom, your homework table. You learn what to do, and it holds after our sessions end.

I work with children who struggle with:

  • Sensory processing and emotional regulation
  • Fine motor skills and handwriting
  • Attention, transitions, and daily routines
  • Getting dressed, feeding, and other self care skills
  • Play skills and social engagement
  • Sleep routines and bedtime transitions
  • Big feelings, frustration, and recovering from meltdowns
  • Building practical strategies that support the whole family
  • Coaching and support for parents at home

About Leonice

Two areas of training. One broader perspective.

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Occupational Therapist. My training in both fields gives me a broader perspective on how mental health and everyday life can influence each other. In my counseling practice, I support adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, parenting challenges, and major life changes such as moving, changing careers, becoming a parent, or ending a relationship. I also support adults recovering from domestic violence. In my occupational therapy practice, I work with children and their families on everyday challenges: difficulty handling sounds, textures, or busy environments, managing big feelings, paying attention, moving from one activity to another, using their hands for tasks like writing and buttoning, or completing routines like dressing and eating. I also help parents understand their child's needs and develop practical strategies they can use in everyday life. I provide services in English and Portuguese.
